it’s finally done!

the all new, all dif­fer­ent, pretty dynamic kodak.com went live at 3.51am this morn­ing. If you visit the Taking Great Pic­tures sec­tion, our new learn­ing con­tent, you can see what’s been keep­ing me from blog­ging for the last few weeks. In all seri­ous­ness I’ve been work­ing on this site (and the greater rearchi­tec­ture and design of kodak.com) since Sep­tem­ber 2001. Three lap­tops and 231 pages of learn­ing con­tent (made up of over 680 totally new con­tent chunks and 600 totally new pic­tures) later here are the results.

I’d post a pic­ture on the blog to mark the occa­sion but my latest laptop doesn’t even have Pho­to­shop on it. I haven’t had time to get it installed.

It still hasn’t sunk in. That the push is over. And that I’ll have time again.

It’s 11.46pm. I’m at work. So my procla­ma­tions of free­dom were really premature.

after mid­night we’re gonna let it all hang out

we’re freez­ing con­tent tonight at mid­night for the new ver­sion of kodak.com. That means I have less than 15 hours left to get my team’s con­tent under­wraps. Then I’m free. Free! FREE! *insert mani­a­cal laugh­ter here* HAHA­HA­HA­HA­HA­HA­HA­HAH *breath* HAHA­HA­HA­HA­HA­HA­HA­HAHA */insert*

Ahh midnight… the witch­ing hour… (oops, sorry Heather, I don’t mean to stereo­type ;-P)

I am alive

really. i promise. but my cur­rent work sched­ule 10 – 12 hour days on aver­age, dones’t allow for reg­u­lar post­ing, 7 days a week. This will pass very soon. Then, hope­fully, there will be a couple major changes in the look and feel of the blog (pro­vided I can get move­able type up and run­ning and tweaked the way I want it).
