Awesome ideas Victoria. I've already stocked up at the Co-op, but keep missing the public market. As for the others, I've seen and been meaning to pick up both. But for the moment the first concern is getting grounded at school.... Matt

You may want to make time to get a free tour with a Chicago Greeter (http://www.chicagogreeter.com/). It's free, and I understand it's a tremendously good way to get to know parts of the city in greater depth.

Additionally, I understand that shopping at the Co-ops in Hyde Park (http://www.coopmarkets.com/) is the way to go for morally impeccable sustenance in your area. And don't fail to eat at Medici (http://www1.chicagoreader.com/cgi-bin/rrr/details.cgi?numb=353).

On campus, be sure to pick up the Chicago Reader (http://www.chicagoreader.com) and New City (http://www.newcitychicago.com) for free to start getting acquainted with the local scene. They are excellent and free resources. Welcome to town!

Victoria
